ICBM12 - the 12th International Conference on Barkhausen Noise and Micromagnetic Testing
Latest ICBM Conference - the 12th in the order since their start in 1998 - was held on September 24-26, 2017 in Dresden, Germany - once the home city of Professor Barkhausen and birth of the Barkhausen effect.
The Conference was organized by the Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems IKTS in cooperation with Stresstech GmbH, and was held at the IKTS, Maria-Reiche-Strasse 2, 01109 Dresden, Germany.
67 participants from 17 different countries got together to share their latest research results and experiences of Barkhausen noise in industrial use. The presentations dealt with stress measurements using Barkhausen noise (BN), applications for measurements of hardening depth, new sensor developments, BN for bearing and bearing steel, and new applications and new parameters.
The Conference was opened by Ms. Susanne Hillmann from Frauhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems IKTS (left), and closed by Mr. Dominik Dapprich from Stresstech GmbH (right)
Conference participants followed the 22 talks and networked with other scientists interested in Barkhausen noise during the breaks.
The dramatic history of Dresden was introduced to the conference participants during the walk in the old center of the city.
